This was one of the most insidious bugs. A player could be working towards a specific Blacklist driver—completing races, racking up bounty, and fulfilling milestones—when, seemingly at random, the game would simply mark the driver as "defeated." The game state would then prevent the player from challenging them, as it believed they had already been beaten, making it impossible to progress. A similar fate awaited players after defeating Razor himself. In some cases, upon defeating the final boss, the game would list Razor as defeated on the Blacklist menu, but it would not trigger the final high-heat pursuit or allow the player to receive the reward BMW, leaving the career unfinished.
If the game won't start after adding files, turn off background recording software like Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience, or OBS.
That is a different bug (caused by not meeting the required bounty before #1). However, this patch includes a bounty refresh fix, so yes, it helps.
